Whispered interpreting

Whispered interpreting, also referred to as chuchotage, is a form of real-time simultaneous interpreting without the use of equipment. The interpreter translates the speech live, whispering into the ear of the listener.

Tips for event organisers:

Whispered interpreting can be provided for max. 2-3 people

Whispered interpreting can inconvenience other participants

Participants find it more difficult to understand it due to background noise

Not recommended for sanitary reasons in the event of a pandemic

Tour-guide headsets can provide the required social distancing and increase the number of potential listeners in the whispered mode.

A flexible solution for all locations, but only for a small group of listeners.

Recommended for:

Smaller events with just 1-3 foreign guests

Business events where the foreign guest mainly listens

Short official events interpreted for 1-3 listeners

Tours, study visits, field trips
